Meet Sarah …
Our Senior Supervising Social Worker, Sarah has worked for Tree House for nearly eight years. Before this she worked in child protection, children’s residential care and with children with disabilities.
She has two children. A daughter who would have been 11 in March who sadly passed away, and a son who is nearly 6. They love to spend time as a family, with their favourite things being musical theatre, looking at historical homes and going away in our caravan.
Sarah says that she loves Tree House as an agency because of its small, family feel, where all carers and children are known to all staff. We are an inclusive and friendly agency that values people including staff, carers and children.
“In work, my most significant areas of interest are championing the needs of people with disabilities, including people who are neurodiverse and supporting people’s mental health. I became THC’s first mental health first-aider in 2022. I think as someone who is neurodiverse myself and has suffered from mental ill health in the past; I can empathise and support people who are struggling and champion them to get the support they need.”
