Foster Care Fortnight 2026 – This is Fostering

Foster Care Fortnight is back for 2026, and this year’s theme is ‘This is Fostering’. From Monday 11th to Sunday 24th May, we’ll be talking about what fostering really looks like, on a mid-week morning, during school runs, in difficult moments, and in proud ones.

We’ll be showcasing real, everyday fostering experiences, highlighting the skills, love and challenges carers navigate and celebrating the diversity of fostering households.

Fostering is not always easy, and in those tough moments, you need the support of your agency and your community of other fostering families. We’ll be celebrating those bonds with afternoon teas for our support groups.

We’ll also be out in our communities, sharing this rewarding career and helping to find the next generation of compassionate foster carers.
