Meet Jo …
Meet Jo, one of our longest-standing members of staff! Jo has worked at Tree House Care for over 20 years and before that, she worked in a residential school for children with disabilities, Child Protection in Peterborough and North East Lincs, and helped set up a local asylum seeker project for Kosovan refugees. Jo’s wider work with refugees means she can now say ‘Good Morning’ in several different languages!
“I have two children and a stepchild. My son has three children; a boy aged 10, another boy aged 8 and a girl aged 3. They are my shining light and all live a few minutes away so I go regularly for my 'fix'! My eldest grandson does very very well at boxing, winning medals. My younger one plays goalkeeper at football for Grimsby Borough under 8's team. My son coaches them and is very inclusive with the young players. Some of whom have had a lot of tragedy in their young lives. They recently won the league and were presented with a cup. Another very proud moment. My granddaughter, the youngest is like mother to them all! I love her to bits!”
