In January 2024, there were 9,370 looked-after children in Yorkshire and the Humber, according to Department for Education figures. That’s almost ten thousand children in desperate need of a safe, loving home. At Tree House Care, it’s our mission to do the right thing for these children, by providing them with loving foster families who can nurture and protect them.

Why Tree House Care?

At Tree House Care, we’ve been supporting our foster carers to provide outstanding care for over 25 years. We are not part of a national chain or owned by investors; we’re still run by the same two social workers who founded the agency.

Being independent allows us to stay local, know our carers personally, and make decisions based on children’s needs, rather than corporate targets. Based at our Yorkshire hub in Doncaster, we’re always on hand to support our carers, and we have a wide catalogue of face-to-face and online training available.

Our priority is building strong relationships, providing high levels of pay, foster training and support to enable our foster carers to focus on the most important thing, doing the right thing for our children.

[Our Supervising Link Worker] has been absolutely amazing, and I really love working with her, we both do. We have had tremendous support from her, she is so brilliant. Tree House, I just think they are brilliant. As an ex-local authority foster carer, the difference is immense.

One of the things I love about Tree House is that they recognise that you can’t have outstanding quality for children without offering great support for the foster carers, who may be living with children with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Throughout my 12 years of fostering with Tree House my Supervising Link Worker has been the most honest, supportive person I have worked alongside. She always keeps me updated with training, offers support and advice in any decisions about my child and is so supportive during the upsetting times. She always helps with his struggles, suggesting new ways to help manage his behaviour.
